Our Story
Welcome to The Carpentry Cabin
We’re a small family-run woodworking shop nestled in the woods of Northern Michigan. What began as a love for sawdust, simple living, and working with our hands has become a mission to craft heirloom-quality goods that bring warmth and function into real homes.
At The Carpentry Cabin, we hand-make tissue box covers, cutouts, coasters, signage, and more — all from solid hardwoods like cherry, maple, ash, walnut, and cedar. Every board is hand-selected. Every product is sanded, shaped, and finished by us in our 30x30 cabin garage shop.
This isn’t mass-produced. This is real wood. Real work. Real life.
Rooted in Family
We're Brittany and Kevin — a husband and wife team, raising two boys ( one of whom has non-verbal autism ), a pack of huskies, and a whole lot of sawdust. We live in the forest, work side-by-side, and believe there's something deeply special about creating beautiful, useful things with your own two hands.
When we’re not building in the shop, we’re exploring the woods, baking something sweet, or chasing kids on dirt bikes.
